A Bit About Louwrens
Louwrens Scheepers is a trained pastor with his masters in global leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, USA. Louwrens is married to Gerda and they have 3 children: Derik, Jana and Andrea. Their family has grown to include son-in-law Ken Belter and three grandchildren, Liam, Ava and Ella. He and his family have spent many years ministering in different cross-cultural contexts, including seven years in North Africa.
Louwrens has a deep affection for people and loves to journey with them in discovering the freedom and healing that comes from living with vulnerability and authenticity. If you are struggling to live a life connected with yourself, others or God, he would love to journey with you.
Experience
For most of his years in ministry Louwrens focused on adult training and mentoring. As a facilitator for the course Walking with wounded children, developed by Petra Institute, he spent a lot of time training leaders from refugee communities in Africa and the Middle East. Over the last 5 years he has been applying his expertise as facilitator and mediator in different faith communities facing severe challenges, in the role of interim pastor. As a part of the Integer team, a huge part of his contribution has been the development of Compassionate Communication in all its different formats.
